Both awards were presented at the MOMA Awards ceremony, held last night at Emirates Stadium in London. Social media was the primary platform for the campaign which was announced last night as winner for ‘Best Use of Social Media on Mobile’ and ‘Travel/Leisure/Sports Mobile Strategy/Campaign’.

Specifically targeting Facebook, Digital Hybrid used immersive Canvas experiences coupled with high-quality video, imagery and blog content to entice new audiences through each stage of the booking process. The results, after just two months, were clear to see with an estimated ROI of over 3,000 per cent, over 2,000 per cent of which came from mobile alone.

With a core service offering which includes social media strategy, advertising, content creation and channel management, Digital Hybrid – a small but ambitious agency – is eager to continue its organic growth strategy with an emphasis on high-quality output, exceptional client services and industry recognition.

Facebook Canvas Campaign

Chris Barned, Managing Director of Digital Hybrid, said:

“This is an incredible milestone for us. I set up Digital Hybrid three years ago to occupy the social media space between PR and advertising and allow us to cherry-pick the best tactics from the full range of disciplines from a social-first perspective. I’m incredibly pleased to see this campaign win because it does exactly that – combining high quality content and innovative, creative, delivery. Working with Natasha Preston and the rest of the team at Exodus we’ve created something really quite special that delivered genuine results.

“Using mobile-first storytelling, the campaign targeted new audiences with Facebook Canvas, the immersive new full-screen mobile format. By showcasing the personality and passion of Exodus Travels’ tour leaders we could introduce potential clients to new destinations through the eyes of a local.

The campaign delivered outstanding results and demonstrates the potential there is for creative, and most importantly – effective, social media marketing, not least via mobile devices.”

Jae Hopkins, Marketing Director at Exodus Travels, said:

“We’re extremely proud of this year’s campaign, sales are up beyond our targets, and we’re slightly astonished at how many purchases we can track directly back to Facebook.

Digital Hybrid is very definitely part of the Exodus team – as likely to tell us when to cut spend back as to flag up opportunities to increase it. We’re so excited to win not one but two prestigious MOMA awards.”
